This is the second part of the extended (approximately 15 minutes) work by Gaston Dethier, based upon the familiar Christmas tune "Adeste Fideles," composed around 1900. This piece was edited - shortened quite a bit - and played by the famous organ virtuoso, Virgil Fox, on his transcontinental tours during the 1940s and 1950s. Fox also recorded his truncated version of the Fantasy at least once during his illustrious recording career; however, Dethier was rarely given credit as the composer off the extended fantasy, and many presumed (wrongly) that the work was improvised by Fox. This was an easy presumption to make, as Fox always performed his version of this Fantasy from memory.
